December 20, 2019 was filled with colorful fun as the Division Office Personnel Association (DOPA) lead the celebration of Christmas Party for the employees of DepEd Manila. The event was graced by no less than the Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Maria Magdalena M. Lim, CESO V, who happen to be celebrating her first Christmas with DOPA.
Headed by its President Mr. Roland P. Soriano (Chief Administrative Officer, Property Services), DOPA took the lead to spread fun thru parlor games and raffles with prizes. Division Office personnel were divided into four (4) teams; white, green, blue and yellow. The first games were the classic pinoy street games “agawan ng panyo” and “patintero” where white team was declared the winner of the former and green team was the winner for the latter.
Oozing with energy was the emcees of the program, DOPA Officers, Mary Antonette T. Buñag (SEPS, HRD) and Victor Michael C. Beso (PDO II-DRRM). Lunch time was still filled with fun as the employees eat in the traditional boodle fight. In bare hands, the employees enjoy sumptuos steamed eggplant with the renowned filipino dip “bagoong alamang” along with hard boiled egg, longganisa “hamonado”, and grilled chicken.
The fun continues after lunch as the afternoon party with a Christmas message from Ma’am Dals. The Superintendent emphasized the importance of camaraderie among employees as long as keeping the spirit of christmas even if it’s not the time to celebrate it. It was followed by The Voice of DOPA and raffle with exciting prices.
The white team was announced as the over-all winner of the parlor games taking home a total of Php 12,000.00. Meanwhile the grand prize winner was Rosalina Ang, Supervising Administrative Officer of HR Management Services taking home a brand new motorcyle 150cc.
